Hey guys! So bluehost’s renewal is coming up and I had the great joy of looking back and wondering if I should pay 400+ dollars for a new year of Switchout.com or if my comic should disappear as I try to work on something else.

About a year and a half ago today, I was hit by a truck. Left with a severe concussion and full of all kinds of pain medications, I had the brilliant idea to reboot my comic. With almost no friends at the time to tell me “maybe this is a bad idea” I went about rewriting my comic and preparing for when I was no longer bed bound.

About 1 year ago, I finally started drawing my reboot.

It fell flat on its face quickly afterwards. Not only that, I recruited a writer I quickly had work ethic conflicts with, and 2 chapters spiraled out of control. I felt detached, tired and loathed my comic. I eventually fell into a depression that only intensified each time I tried to work on my comic. I no longer felt joy working on SwitchOut.

With Bluehost’s renewal coming up, I had to take a moment to consider my comic as a whole… and whether to quit the comic entirely, or dish out another couple hundred dollars and keep going. After a long talk with my friend, we came to a decision on how to move forward…

…a little mix of both. I’m going to head back to the original comic series, but the price for bluehost is a little steep. I’m going to let the subscription die and post on both Tapastic and Webtoons. You can find the Tapastic link right here: https://tapas.io/series/SwitchOut

I want to go back to the story I loved and have fun with, instead of continuing something I didn’t like right off the bat. I feel as if the original story was dark and slow paced, and while the chapter I was working on conveyed that, I felt as if it was too late. I enjoyed how the slower pace allowed the characters to breath better and show their personalities more. Thank you guys for holding out with me, and sticking through this wild experience.

If you agree or disagree, feel free to let me know what you think! I always love hearing from you guys.
